Enrique is an applied economist interested in development issues, with an Industrial Organization background. He did his BA in Economics at ITAM and PhD in Economics at Stanford University. He has a preference for research that has clear policy implications. He has grouped his research in three topics: credit markets, econometric policy evaluation, trade. He has recently become interested in the formation of preferences and norms and in particular how these may support or undermine democracy and government accountability.
